FOUR-DAY WORKSHOP REGISTRATION PAGE
POISED FOR PARKINSON’S:
MANAGE PARKINS0N’S SYMPTOMS OF BALANCE, WALKING, AND FREEZING
For People Living with Parkinson's & their Family Care Partners to enjoy learning together!
An introduction to helpful Alexander technique (AT) principles
to improve your personal management of
balance, walking, and freezing
as well as helping improve your overall quality of life.
Family members and friends, you will get your own wonderful benefits too!
These principles can be easily applied during all your normal daily activities and also during any of your exercise programs or therapy sessions.
This workshop is based on principles from Alexander technique (AT) which is well-known in the performing arts as a way to avoid injury and strain, move with more coordination and grace, and better manage stress and anxiety. The Poise Project has developed and researched this program as a way of bringing this AT training to people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
This workshop is appropriate for participants who are able to walk independently on their own - either without aid or by using a walker or cane.
Come join us and you will take new skills home with you that you can apply right away!
