THE POISE PROJECT: alexander technique for the 21st century

Our Mission is maintaining poise and personal growth throughout all stages and challenges of life using the principles of Alexander technique (AT).

Our Mission is realized through promotion of the profession, creation of programs adapted for specific populations and industries, and support of cutting edge research in the field.

We use a coordinated team approach uniting individuals who have benefited from AT, industry expert advocates, and AT professionals.

THE POISE PROJECT® is honored to announce that we are the recipient of our third grant from the Parkinson's Foundation. As part of the 2018-2019 Moving Day® Community Grant program of the NC triangle area, this $20,000 grant will support our new program "POISED FOR ACTION" - ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE (AT) FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH PARKINSON'S AND THEIR CARE PARTNERS" at three sites in North Carolina.

The Poise Project® Alexander technique teacher teams have brought Poise Tune UP! stations to Parkinson's Foundation Moving Day® events around the country. Here are the "Take Aways" of people living with Parkinson's, their care partners, families and friends after having been given a brief AT "tune up"!
