REGISTER HERE for our FREE Public Workshop!

Can you support our workshop program for care partners of people living with long-term care needs?
Would you like to learn more about The Poise Project and our supportive work with care partners?

We need some interested volunteers to attend our free public workshops
on Sunday & Monday, April 6 & 7, from 2pm-4:15pm
at the
Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Asheville, 1 Edwin Pl, Asheville, NC 28801

The Poise Project is training three new instructors to teach our “Partnering with Poise: Care for the Care Partner” workshop. We are reaching out to invite you to volunteer to attend a free workshop so that our new instructors can have the opportunity to practice teaching the curriculum. Our three new instructors are from Montana, Vermont, and Eastern North Carolina. After they finish their training week here in Asheville, they will go home and begin teaching these workshops to care partners in their local communities.

You do not need to currently be a care partner yourself to attend!

Monika Gross, who is the training instructor, will be leading the workshop process for everyone.

Partnering with Poise: Caring for the Care Partner”
An evidence-based program developed by The Poise Project
with funding from the Parkinson's Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America

Our workshop is adapted from Alexander technique, which is a well-established training in the performing arts to help manage stressful situations, prevent, or recover from strain, pain or injury, and improve someone’s overall functioning in daily life.

Our program has been researched through the University of Idaho.
Our research can be viewed at this link: www.thepoiseproject.org/tpp-research
